XPSA, TOO MUCH TO HANDLE FOR FOOTBALL UNITED ACADEMY

Sat, Aug 22, 2020 at 10:00 AM in Toronto, at  Father Angelos Saad Community Park (FALLINGBROOK PARK) , XPSA  played a very compelling match against Football United Academy (FUA) in the CAF Soccer League

FUA was a very intimidating team for XPSA due to the size of their players. Although XPSA was playing U14, it felt as if FUA  had a few U16 boys; they had players that were already growing sideburns and beards.

The XPSA Players were very concerned at the start due to the average age of their team was 12 years old, the team also had player that were 10 and 11 years old.

The game started and is was apparent XPSA was a bit apprehensive at the beginning, as the game progressed, they grew in confidence when they realized FUA was only a big team but was clearly not on their level.

XPSA dominated the possession as this is the strength of their game, tactically they were more advanced than Football United and possessed better ball control and technical executions

During the game, XPSA tactically served their speedy winger Jayvyn a lot of passes so that he could use his speed against a much slower full back that was defending him. Jayvyn was able to capitalize on this tactical strategy and as a result scored a total of 3 goals; a couple consolation goals were scored by Hamza Bahmed from the plethora of opportunities he received from the many dissecting passes from XPSA’s quality midfielders.

The constant pressure from XPSA’s team attackers and high pressure style of play made it difficult for FUA to play out of the back therefore forcing them to play long balls which resulted in many turn overs. XPSA defensive line was very strong and allowed very few penetrations. FUA goals came as a result of long shots and a few goal keeping errors. XPSA took total control of the game in the second half by relying on their conditioning; their stamina, technical and tactical prowess was unmatched throughout the tournament but was evidently superior to Football Academy United.

The game resulted in a 5-3 drubbing of FUA and Jayvyn Bellot #11 was the man of the match whom had an outstanding performance!

X-Uvia Pro. Soccer Academy prove too much for their opponent on this day. Their condition and ball movement had their rivals baffled with disbelief about the quality of football they witnessed from players 2 to 3 years their junior.

Utilizing the space and penetrating the channels behind the lines led to complete dominance and control of the game!
